George has had a great passion for music since a young child.  He was always active in School and Church choirs, moving into school bands as he got older.  A singer mainly, his first real instrument was the trumpet.  In 1992 he joined the Regimental Band of the Queens Own Rifles of Canada, and participated in many events including concerts and parades in North America and beyond.  Highlights include; travelling to Normandy France, and parts of England for the 50th anniversary of D-Day in 1994; appearing on the bands CD 'Traditions'; playing in Roy Thompson Hall (Toronto); and opening the Molson Indy Toronto.

 

George has played with a variety of bands/genres over the years, everything from Rock, Country, Pop, Christian.

 

From 1993-96, he attended the Humber College Jazz program as a vocal major.

 

In 2013, he composed the song 'Share The Dream', which was used as the theme song for the 2013 NFLD Special Olympic Summer games.  He was fortunate enough to be able to perform the song at the opening/closing ceremonies in St.John's that summer.
